  • 2 cups cooked rice: Opt for day-old rice for better texture.
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks: Use fresh or canned, but drain canned pineapples well.
  • 1/2 cup peas: Fresh or frozen will work.
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper: Choose any color for added vibrancy.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari: Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil: For sautéing.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil: Optional, for added flavor.
  • Salt and pepper: To taste.
  • Chopped green onions: For garnish.

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add bell pepper and peas; sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in pineapple chunks and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  5. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
