Gluten-Free Tiramisu Recipe

  • Author: Michael

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Gluten-free ladyfingers or sponge cake
  • Dark chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture
In a bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This forms the luscious layer that characterizes tiramisu.
  2. Layer the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each gluten-free ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they absorb the liquid without becoming too soggy. Arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of your serving dish.
  3. Spread the Mascarpone Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Use a spatula to ensure an even distribution.
  4. Dust with Cocoa Powder
Sift a layer of cocoa powder over the mascarpone mixture. This adds a depth of flavor and the classic tiramisu look.
  5. Repeat the Layers
Add another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture. Finish with a generous dusting of cocoa powder on top.
  6. Garnish and Chill
Sprinkle dark chocolate shavings over the top for an extra touch of elegance. Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
